About Dave Meier

All workshops are led by Dave Meier, who founded the Center For Accelerated Learning in 1980. Since then, he has prepared more corporate training professionals in accelerated learning than any other person worldwide.

He has delivered his Accelerated Learning Training Methods workshop on three continents to thousands and thousands of trainers.

He’s done research for the U.S. Government on the effects of imagery (a key A.L.method) on learning -- the largest research of its kind the government has ever funded. The results were published in Psychology Today magazine.

Chosen Trainer of the Year by the American Society for Training and Development’s Brain Trainers Group, he brings with him a rich perspective and depth of experience in accelerated learning you’ll find nowhere else.

Dave is the author of The Accelerated Learning Handbook (McGraw-Hill, 2000), the definitive guide that shows you how to speed and enhance learning in your organization.

Well known for his engaging style and humor, Dave will offer you a truly memorable learning experience. Dave’s goal is to help people de-mechanize and re-humanize learning to make it fast, easy, and more effective.

Dave was classically educated, which gives him a humanistic perspective vital to accelerated learning. But he also trained computers, technical training, and soft skills in business and industry for ten years before starting the Center. This blend of the humanistic and the technical gives Dave a unique perspective. He brings humanistic wisdom and technical trainer know-how to his sessions to make for one-of-a-kind powerful experiences.

Dave’s gift is helping people connect with their own creativity and natural enthusiasm for learning. We all by nature are eager to learn. Years of formal education often knocks our natural curiosity out of us. Dave’s workshops help bring back that curiosity and reacquaint people with the joy of learning.
